Sam Trump and a 20 Piece Wind Orchestra will be performing Nat King Cole’s 1958 record 'THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU' at Aura Sounds Sessions under the Jazz Record Art Collective. The night will also feature a showcase and live painting from visual artist David Anthony Geary.

Sam Trump will be on vocals backed by a Wind Orchestra: 
"I've always wanted to do a tribute show to Nat "King" Cole ever since I heard the album "The Very Thought Of You". Those lush strings that support Nat's profound timbre, carry the listener into to a realm of romance and bliss.
On Jan 12th, we will recreate this album in a way that has never been done before. Being a lifelong trumpet player and of the wind instrument family, I am excited to substitute all of the string sounds from the record, with a 20 piece wind orchestra, including flute, oboe, sax, bassoon, clarinet, french horn, trumpet, trombone, and tuba."

David Anthony Geary will be showcasing his art and doing a live painting during the show.

Aura Sounds is a new session series under the wing of the Jazz Record Art Collective that features a live performance of influential albums including a featured artist. Aura Sounds Sessions play homage to some of the most influential hip-hop, soul, RnB, and jazz albums. 


Admission is a suggested donation of $10.
